What Time Is It?
.
It is time for a little ART!
Labor Day weekend provided the much needed break, a quick respite after the chaotic and hectic first week of school. I am a Kindergarten teacher here in Houston Texas. School here opened a week before Labor Day.
There were several items on my to-do list, and one of which was an artsy clock that I have always wanted to work on:
Here is a little piece of CRAFT to share!
Materials:
* ¼’ thick wood -available in any craft store (the shape will depend on your creativity)
* Clock kit –can be found in any craft store
* Paint
* Wood Glue
* Choice of words or photos to decorate the face of your clock
*** For this particular piece of art, I printed the words using Arial Black font - size is 135
.
1. Paint the pieces of wood
.
2. Print the words. Cut and paste the words on the surface of the clock.
.
3. Glue the wood pieces together using wood glue.
.
4. Drill a hole where you want the hands of your clock to be positioned. Install the clock machine.
.
***For this particular project, the clock set I bought had gold “clock hands.” I painted it black to create contrast.
.
What time is it?
It is time you enjoy a time piece that projects your personality!
